about
This song is in memory of Eric Garner and everyone else who has been killed, harassed, beaten, and mistreated by those with a badge. Things like this shouldn't happen, but sadly they do. However, in hindsight of the Dallas Shootings of the police officers, we must also understand that we need to create a sense of safety and peace within the community.
lyrics
Police see me walking down the street
and the sirens, they blare as they're blasting me.
I said 'What's the matter man?'
He said you have some awfully nice things
and you know that this is no place no one like you should be
Fuck 'em!
And everybody keeps profiling you see.
From every person I met to every place that I've been.
He said, "she said that the culprit was me."
Even though every single one of us is guilty.
Fuck 'em!
When they see me walking down the street
I got my black hoodie on looking down at my feet
with a Kit-Kat in my pocket and the pigs want a peice.
Before you know it I'll be down on my knees saying,
"hey man, no man. What's the matter man?"
Just get away man, before it's out of hand.
Just figure it out man. Stay cool man,
before it's out of hand, but it is out of hand.
And I'll admit it's been a long time coming now,
but you know those motherfuckers had it coming now.
He did, and he will, but he won't. Who cares?
Before you know it he'll be swimming up and gasping for air.
Stay cool man,
but I cannot man so I keep on saying fuck 'em!
